The Bono Regional Directorate of the Ghana Health Service (GHS) has organized its 2023 Annual Performance Review conference to take stock of activities, programmes and interventions for last year.

The review conference, held at Dr. Aaron Offei Conference Hall near Sunyani teaching hospital, was on the theme: “Building a resilient health care system through effective implementation of networks of practice.”

It brought together the Metropolitan, Municipal and District Directors of Health, some healthcare facility managers, health workers among other partners.

The two-day conference, held on the 26th and 27th March 2023, provided a platform for participants to discuss and measure achievements and challenges against set goals during the year under review, and devise strategies to improve upon performances for 2024 and beyond.

Dr. Kofi Amo-Kodieh the Bono Regional Director of the GHS, speaking at the opening of the conference said the performance review was for the Directorate to give an account of its stewardship in 2023 in terms of achievements, challenges and prospects for the provision of healthcare services in the region.

Dr. Amo-Kodieh said even though there were numerous challenging confronting their work, he assured that they will be doing their best at all levels to mitigate these challenges, but we also need the support of all stakeholders to address some of these issues.

Awards were presented to some officers to appreciate them for their dedicated and meritorious service rendered to the Ghana Health Service in the Bono Region.
