Background

Mr. Stephen Nyarko-Ameyaw is a Public Health Officer. Before his appointment as the Acting and subsequently a substantive District Director of Health Service in April 2014 and July 2018 respectively, he was the Municipal Disease Control Officer at the Techiman Municipal Health Directorate.

Mr. Stephen Nyarko-Ameyaw holds Master of Public Health from MountCrest University, Accra affiliated to KNUST, Kumasi. Bachelor of Arts, University of Wales UK, BSc. Statistics, University of Ghana, Legon, Accra, Ghana and Dip. Community Health, College of Health, Kintampo. He has obtained certificates in Epidemiology for Global Health, University of Washington, Leadership and Management in Health, University of Washington, Executive Professional Certificate Course in Health System Management, Leadership and Governance, Pentecost University, 1st Ghana FELTP Scientific Conference, Fifth Ghana FELTP Scientific Conference, Basic Field Epidemiology Training Programme, Ghana Field Epidemiology and Laboratory Training Programme. He has authored and co-authored seven publications.

 

He is a member of GFELTP, AFENET and TEPHINET. He was also a former National Secretary of the District Directors Group and has been the Secretary to District Directors Group for Bono Region. He is also the Vice Chairman of the GAPHTO in the then Brong-Ahafo Region.
