Overview

Ga West is one of the oldest districts of the 29 administrative districts/municipals in the Greater Accra region. It’s situated in the region’s western part and lies wholly in the coastal savannah agroecological zone. Ga West was originally part of the then-larger Ga District. Later on, the western part of the district was split off to form Ga South District in February 2008.
